"YOU CAN LIVE AT ANY WEIGHT YOU CHOOSE" - YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT? YOU DON'T HAVE A CHANCE.
YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT? YOU DON'T HAVE A CHANCE.
As long as you are eating for emotional reasons, you are never going to lose the weight you say you want to lose. You can count calories or grams of fat or carbohydrates or proteins or measure your portions forever, and it won’t make one bit of difference. Forget about it. You can’t let yourself “lose” weight. Let’s say you are a woman who is 5’3” and weighs 150 pounds. You want to weigh 120 pounds. Maybe you used to weigh 120 pounds. However, you find that you are now unable to weigh 140 pounds, let alone 120 pounds. Why can’t you weigh 140 pounds? What’s the big deal between 150 pounds and 140 pounds? That’s only 10 pounds but you can’t get there no matter what you do. If you ever “lost” 10 pounds and got to 140 pounds, sooner or later you gained the 10 “lost” pounds and again weighed 150 pounds. The reason that happened and will continue to happen is that you are eating for emotional reasons, which are far stronger than your intellectual desires to weigh what you say you want to weigh. You would feel emotionally “uncomfortable” if you ate less than you emotionally need and weighed less than you emotionally need to weigh. That’s exactly why you are stuck at the weight you are. Like it or not, emotionally, you have become a 150-pound person. That’s what you’re “comfortable” weighing. Everyone weighs what she or he feels emotionally comfortable weighing. You cannot be a 150-pound person and weigh 120 pounds. You have to become a 120-pound person. It’s really that simple.
