SIXTY-SEVENTH DAILY EXPERIENCE


Of course you’ve seen articles and tv appearances by people who used to weigh 300 to 400 pounds and have had gastric bypasses or had their stomach stapled or other similar surgeries. These people have now “lost” 100 or more pounds and they all tell you how happy they are at their new weight. They say that they could never have “lost” all that weight had it not been for the surgery. That’s great that they are happy.

However, let’s look at what really happened. These are the same people who for years said that they had a glandular problem or that being very heavy ran in their family and that they tried every diet in existence and that no diet ever “worked”. Now, they weigh what they were sure they could never weigh.

Actually, all that happened is that the surgery made it physically impossible to put much food into their system. They could hardly eat any food at all. So what happened? They “lost” weight, a lot of weight. So their weight “problem” wasn’t glandular at all. It had nothing to do with any members of their family. It had nothing to do with any diet. The really simple fact is that they couldn’t stop putting all that food in their mouths. They didn’t want all that food in their system. They just wanted it in their mouths. That was their only problem. There wasn’t any other problem. The proof is so glaringly simple. All the surgery did was stop them from putting food in their mouths. It didn’t do anything else.

So now it is crystal clear that the ONLY reason that those people got so heavy was that they felt a need to continually put all that food in their mouths. That’s why they remained so heavy. That’s why when they could no longer put all that food in their mouths they “lost” weight. They didn’t want to weigh so much. They just couldn’t control their emotional need to “eat”. After all, they said for years that they hated weighing so much, but they couldn’t help it. Therefore, if they could have learned how to stop putting all that food in their mouths they would have never gained all that weight and would never have had a “weight problem”.
