FIFTY-NINTH DAILY EXPERIENCE

Do you have any idea how large the “weight loss” industry is? It’s a multi – billion dollar industry, annually. Think about it. Billions of dollars are changing hands every year and you’re still fat. Don’t you just hate it? One of the listeners to our radio program, “The Great Weight Debate” wanted us to change the name of the program to “My Money is all Gone and I’m Still Fat”. That’s pretty much how it is. We’re in the midst of what everyone is calling an Obesity Epidemic and people are spending fortunes trying to “lose weight” and almost no one permanently weighs less. It seems like everyone wants to sell you something. Doctors want to remove or staple your stomach. People want to sell you pills and supplements of various kinds. Dieticians want to tell you what and how to eat. Other people have diets that guarantee that you will lose weight if you will remain on those diets for the rest of your life. Lots of companies sell prepared foods, promising you that if you buy their foods you will weigh less, as long as you continue to buy their foods. Everyone tells you that you have to exercise more and they even have exercise routines and exercise equipment that you should buy. Everybody has a gimmick. But, of course, you have to pay them to get the gimmick. Everybody wants to be in the “weight loss” game. It’s a very profitable game.

The experts are fighting each other. Everyone tells you something different. Low fat, high fat, low carb, complex carbs, high protein are just examples. Dieticians think that those are all fad diets and that a balanced diet is the only way to go. Some people are blaming the government for telling all of us to eat lots of carbohydrates and that’s why we are all fat. Everyone is so sure he or she is right and everyone else is just all wet. The geniuses are fighting, billions of dollars are changing hands and everyone is still fat. If this wasn’t so serious it would almost be funny. Isn’t that just wonderful? Now, lawyers want to sue people who make food or sold you food because you are fat. Don’t you just love it? You have wasted lots of money and there you are, still overweight and unhappy, and everyone wants to throw you lifeline to being thin, for a price.

Actually, weighing what you want to weigh shouldn’t cost you a penny. You aren’t going to permanently weigh what you want to weigh by tinkering with your weight. You’re going to do by eliminating the reasons you made yourself fat. None of the “experts” are really going to help you. Don’t kid yourself. You did this all by yourself and you’re going to change it all by yourself.
