FIFTIETH DAILY EXPERIENCE

Today we’re going to start exposing the ridiculous information and advice you have been getting from the “experts.” If you really want to get to the heart of the matter you have to understand the nature of the real problem. O.K., let’s do it.

You’ve heard the experts tell you that the reason you’re fat is that your mother served you portions of food that were too big and that’s why you ate so much. Or, that your favorite restaurants served giant amounts of food and you ate all of it and that’s why you’re fat. Or your wife, or husband, or significant other prepares way too much food and that’s why you’re fat. Do you really believe that stuff? If you do, the solution is so simple you wonder why everyone isn’t skinny. You know the answer. Just start eating smaller portions of food and you become thin. Wow, wasn’t that easy! You have to wonder why the whole world just doesn’t do that.

Wait a minute. You know that’s nonsense. If you think it’s true, just try it. Have the person who prepares your meals put smaller amounts of food on your plate. Do it for a week or two. You know what will happen? Absolutely nothing. You know very well that if the portions of food on your plate didn’t satisfy you, you would get more food and eat it. However, if you want proof, just do it. If you think your kids are too fat just try serving them less food. See what happens. You know what will happen? They will somehow, somewhere, get more food. The size of portions has nothing to do with your weight. That’s absolute nonsense. The “experts” have got a clue so they say ridiculous things like your portions are too big. But you can easily demonstrate that the size of the portions have nothing to do with your weight. Again, if they did all you would have to do is put less food on your plate and like magic you would be thin. Isn’t that the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever heard?

Let’s look at your life. You didn’t want to get fat. You knew when you were getting fat. All you had to do was eat less food. If you thought there was too much food on your plate why didn’t you just ask for less food or leave some over. So, why didn’t you do it? It was the easiest thing in the world to do. Just stop putting all that food in your mouth.

Everyone is second-guessing. The fact of the matter is that emotionally you had to put all that food in your mouth. It didn’t make one iota of difference how much food was on your plate. If you wanted more food you just got some.
